Aquarius Water-Based Digital White KB - 20kg
High-opacity water-based white ink engineered for digital hybrid textile printing, providing a smooth, bright underbase for digitally printed graphics with excellent flexibility, color yield, and wash durability.
Characteristics
Aquarius™ Water-Based Digital White KB is a high-opacity white ink designed for use in digital hybrid screen printing systems, where a screen-printed white layer provides the foundation for the digitally printed image. The Digital White is formulated to create an opaque, smooth printing surface that helps digital colors reproduce with strong vibrancy and definition.
Part of the Zodiac™ Aquarius™ Digital Hybrid Ink System, Digital White is suitable for 100% cotton, blends, and synthetic fabrics. It can be used as the white underbase in a hybrid digital workflow and may also be printed as a stand-alone white or as an underbase for additional white and clear layers.
The Aquarius™ Digital Hybrid system is designed to produce prints with a soft, flexible hand and excellent wash performance while maintaining strong opacity and color yield. Aquarius inks are water-based and formulated without PVC or phthalates.
- High-opacity water-based digital hybrid white
- Designed to provide a smooth surface for receiving digitally printed images
- Creates an opaque white foundation for digital color reproduction
- Excellent color yield and print definition
- Soft and flexible finished print
- Excellent wash durability
- Suitable for 100% cotton, blends, and synthetic fabrics
- Can be used as a stand-alone white
- Can be used as an underbase for digital printing
- Can be used as an underbase for additional white or clear layers

- Water-based formulation
- Non-PVC and non-phthalate
- Designed for professional digital hybrid textile production
- Aquarius™ Retarder: Add approximately 0.5–1% to Digital White when additional screen open time is required.
Use only the amount of Retarder required to achieve the necessary additional open time. Thoroughly mix the additive into the Digital White and test the modified ink under actual production conditions before beginning a full production run.
- Thoroughly mix Aquarius™ Digital White KB before printing.
- Use a water-resistant emulsion and maintain approximately 15–20% emulsion over mesh.
- Recommended mesh range is 86–230 threads/in (34–90 threads/cm).
- Maintain screen tension between approximately 18–35 N/cm.
- Use a 60/90/60 sharp square-profile squeegee.
- Maintain a squeegee angle of approximately 10–15°.
- Use approximately 1 print stroke at medium speed.
- Maintain approximately 1/16 in. (2 mm) off contact.
- Flash approximately 2–4 seconds at 180–200°F (80–90°C).
- Keep platens relatively cool at approximately 130–140°F (54–60°C) to help prevent premature aging of the white ink during production.
- Clean the stencil and image area whenever printing is stopped to help reduce the possibility of screen blockage.
- When additional screen open time is required, add approximately 0.5–1% Aquarius™ Retarder.
- For cotton, the referenced cure is approximately 320°F (160°C) for 90 seconds.
- For polyester, the referenced cure is approximately 305°F (151°C) for 90 seconds.
- Digital hybrid applications may require increasing dryer dwell time to approximately 120 seconds because of the additional digital ink load.
- Always test the finished print for proper cure and durability before beginning a production run.
Aquarius™ Water-Based Digital White KB is designed for digital hybrid textile printing, where the screen-printed white layer creates an opaque, smooth foundation for receiving the digitally printed image.
Digital White KB can also be used as a stand-alone white or as an underbase for additional white or clear layers, providing flexibility within compatible Aquarius™ Digital Hybrid production workflows.
During production, keep platens relatively cool at approximately 130–140°F (54–60°C). Excessive platen temperature can contribute to premature aging or drying of water-based white ink in the screen.
Clean the stencil and image area whenever printing is stopped. Keeping the image area clean and the ink moving can help reduce premature drying and screen blockages during production.
When additional open time is required, approximately 0.5–1% Aquarius™ Retarder may be added to Digital White KB. This Digital White recommendation is specific to the digital hybrid application and differs from the general addition range used with other Aquarius inks.
Standard referenced curing conditions are 320°F (160°C) for 90 seconds on cotton and 305°F (151°C) for 90 seconds on polyester. Digital hybrid printing introduces an additional digital ink load, which may require increasing dryer dwell time to approximately 120 seconds.
Actual curing performance depends on the dryer, ink deposit, garment, substrate, digital ink load, and production conditions. Always verify proper cure and test finished prints for wash durability before beginning a full production run.
